Wells Evening Society

Wells Evening Society is a friendly, not-for-profit organisation that welcomes anyone and everyone to membership. Its aim is to promote a lively and active interest in, and the study of, our cultural heritage.
(Trip to Caerleon March 2010)
Its principal activity is the presentation of lectures – at monthly intervals – from October to April with all the lectures taking place in Wells Town Hall. They are always held on the first Thursday in the month starting at 7.30 p.m. except for the second lecture in April which is usually on the third Thursday of the month. There are therefore a total of 8 lectures during the season.
(Lecture in Wells Town Hall)
The opportunity to meet before the lectures helps to foster our community spirit so wine and soft drinks are available in the foyer of the Town Hall from 6.45 p.m.
